  • Legal support in court proceedings on debt recovery in construction with a value of over 1 MEUR (2014)
  • Legal support in court proceedings related to control and supervision of restrictions and prohibitions applicable to public officials (conflicts of interest)
  • Legal support in court proceedings related to supervision and control of the use of assets of political organisations (parties), with a value of over 3 MEUR
  • Legal support within the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau related to the lease and purchase of real estate, with a value of over 2 MEUR (2008-2009)
  • Legal support related to organisation of public procurement procedures within the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau with a value of over 2 MEUR (2005-2008)

Contribution to Lawmaking
Violeta has participated in and chaired a number of working groups developing legislative acts and amendments to legislative acts, inter alia the Special Protection of Persons Law, amendments to the Law on Prevention of Conflict of Interest on Activities of Public Officials, amendments to the Law on the Financing of Political Parties and amendments to the Criminal Law 1998-2009

Education
Violeta is a proud holder of a scientific degree in law (Dr. iur.). Her thesis Immunity from Criminal Proceedings of Public Officials was defended in 2010 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Latvia

Violeta has a good command of Latvian, English and Russian

Extra-curricular
In her spare time Violeta enjoys playing tennis
